Tournament players waited all year for 2010 to end! It is a great time to play on US friendly poker sites because it is time for UBOC 6. The UB Online Championship for 2011 has 29 events including the $ 1 million Championship Event and a $750k High Roller event. There are 29 championship watches up for grabs, and there is even a Tournament of Champions for the winners of UBOC 2010. If you have considered using flash Texas Holdem, now is definitely the time!

January 16th is when things kick off with the NL Holdem Deep Stack event for $530. Yesterday featured the first Omaha event, so you were able to put your skills to the test and see if that free poker video paid off. If you are best at heads-up games, you should definitely check out Event 13, but register as soon as possible because it won't be possible to register late for this tourney.

For those with huge bankrolls, the High Roller tournament is on January 23rd for $2.1k. The Championship Event features the biggest guaranteed prize pool, however: $ 1 million. The buy-in for this tournament is $ 1,050. If you are new to the best US poker sites and you cannot afford to pay these buy-ins, you can always play qualifiers to the events. The satellites start as low as 10 cents!

The other option for players just starting with the top Texas Holdem sites is Mini-UBOC. This series has all of the same events, but it features much smaller buy-ins. Obviously the prize pools will be much smaller as well, but first place in all the events will still be a handsome addition to your bankroll!

Some people have been waiting all year for UBOC, so be sure to take advantage of it. If you own an Apple laptop, you do not have to worry since they made Ultimate Bet for Mac. Have fun chasing a UBOC watch!

This was going to be another article about a pro that supports UB, but today Annie Duke announced that she and UB are parting ways. I will, however, still dedicate this article to her since she was such a prominent UB figure for so long, and also because she still openly advocates US friendly poker sites.

One of the most successful female poker players in the world, Duke earned a World Series of Poker title in 2004 in an Omaha event. She was born in New Hampshire and has a brother, a sister, and three children. Her brother supports the Full Tilt download.

Duke's career with UB started in 2000 and, as stated earlier, ended today. It's safe to say that she has done very well since she started playing poker, seeing as she's cashed over $4 million playing in casinos for USA players. Her best finish in the WSOP ME was 10th back in 2000 when she was pregnant with her 3rd child. She's cashed in the World Series 37 times, bringing her total WSOP cashes to $ 1.1 million in total, and in 2004 she won $2 million in the WSOP Tournament of Champions. In 2010 she was victorious in the National Heads-Up Poker Championship for $500k.

Duke isn't famous just because she's a female poker player. She actually tutored Ben Affleck the year he won the California State Poker Championship back in 2004. It is safe to say that her tutoring was better than any poker video he could have downloaded! She was the first poker player to talk on the Colbert Report, she participated in the game show 1 vs 100 not just once but three times, and she must like game shows because she also showed up on Deal or No Deal once. She is also well known for participating in Celebrity Apprentice a year ago where she came second behind Joan Rivers even though she raised three times more cash for her charity, Refugees International.

Duke proudly supports online casino gambling, and she speaks up when she thinks something is wrong. She has a huge problem with the rule that players are not able to wear sponsorship logos during certain televised live MTTs. In one news article regarding the topic, she is quoted as saying, "We are not even slaves. We're people paying to pick the cotton." There's no doubt that Duke has taken advantage of the fact she's one of a few women in the game, but she disagrees with the fact that there are women only tournaments. Regarding the subject, she said, "Poker is one of the few sports where a woman can compete on a totally equal footing with a man, so I don't understand why there's a ladies only tournament." Because of this, she will not participate in women only MTTs.

Annie Duke does a good job representing poker all-around. When people see her on TV, it encourages them to play on the best US poker sites. Everyone has the right to play one of the most competitive games around!

A very famous pro poker player that supports US friendly poker sites would be Phil Hellmuth, a UB representative that has gained and kept fame due to his World Series of Poker accomplishments and outbursts at the tables. Hellmuth was born in 1964 in Wisconsin where he went to University and eventually learned to play poker. He currently lives in California with his wife and two sons.

You wouldn't think it, but people are encouraged to use Ultimate Bet for Mac when they find out that UB's most prominent spokesman holds so many outstanding records. It's just amazing to find out that he has won 1st place in a whopping 11 WSOP tournaments, winning the first title when he was just 24 years old, another record at the time. He has the record for cashing the WSOP (75) and the highest number of final table appearances (41). He ranks in the top ten for total WSOP winnings with $6.1 million won so far in his career. Many people are surprised when they find out that Hellmuth has yet to win a World Poker Tour (WPT) tournament in casinos For USA players , although he does have 3 final tables under his belt. He's actually been able to cash 11 times in WPT tournaments which brings his total WPT winnings to $691k. All these records and cashes allowed him to be inaugurated into the Poker Hall of Fame back in 2007.

While Hellmuth's tournament success certainly allowed him to become a famous figure in the poker world, especially to those new to the game, he is most well known for throwing huge temper tantrums while playing at the tables. Maybe his success has gone to his head a bit because he truly believes he is the best online poker player in the world, and nothing upsets him more than a couple bad beats. He's known to yell and scream at those that bad beat him, questioning their intelligence and ability to play the game. In the 2008 WSOP he actually received a penalty because he kept harassing someone after he showed the table that he'd caused Hellmuth to fold a hand preflop with suited rags. His personality and countless shenanigans have earned him the nickname of 'The Poker Brat'.

Interestingly, Hellmuth took his unique nickname and ran with it. He started a clothing line using the name Poker Brat, and you can buy a book that he wrote titled, you guessed it, Poker Brat. He is the author of several books, actually, and he has even made the occasional poker video and mobile phone game. He writes about interesting hands in a newspaper column called 'Hand of the Week', and he also has a couple blogs online. And with several TV appearances and coaching gigs, it's clear that Hellmuth is cashing in at more than just playing cards.

If you're new to online poker, you've probably heard a lot of hype regarding Full Tilt or PokerStars, but it%u2019s worth your time to also try out some of UB's poker tables. Join Hellmuth at the tables and earn a deposit bonus if you haven't already done so. With a lot of hard work and practice in online poker rooms, it is possible to accomplish a lot. If you would like to see what else UB has to offer, be sure to go back to my previous entries.

So far in this blog we've gone over the benefits of US friendly poker sites, the UB referral code, how to earn the bonus, and information about RAI$E, their VIP program. In this article I intend to go over tournament poker at UB, specifically the UB Online Championship (UBOC) series. Earlier this year UB hosted their fourth UBOC, featuring 12 days and 18 events.

Those that could download free poker at the start of the year definitely benefited from being able to clear their bonus during the tournament series because they were able to play for a total prize pool of over $4 million. If you were a beginner player, you didn't have to worry because there was also the Mini-UBOC, a series that was similar to the regular UBOC but had buy-ins less than $30.

Since UB is among the top Texas Holdem sites there were a lot of Hold Em events, but UBOC also catered to all types of poker. Players got to play PLO, mixed games, and HORSE. The Hold Em choices included standard full ring games, rebuy events, short handed tournaments, and even a heads-up contest. There was also a special prize to earn: a watch was given to each event's champion to commemorate the big victory. Most online poker rooms give these exclusive gifts to their champions to emulate the World Series of Poker bracelets.

Event buy-ins started at $ 100+$9 and went up to $2,500+$ 100 while the guarantees had a range of $30k to $ 1 million. MTT poker professionals such as Annie Duke and Brandon Cantu hosted the events, similar to the Full Tilt Poker download and FTOPS. Some absolutely huge prizes were won, including $361k in the Deepstack No-Limit Hold Em 6-max event and $279k in the Championship Event.

With poker growing more and more every day, you can be assured that UBOC should only get better and better. I can't argue that waiting for the next series announcement won't be fun, but at least it will give you time to make that UB download if you haven't already done so. If you would like to know why you should try Ultimate Bet for Mac, feel free to check out my first articles for reasons explaining why it might be a good idea. Thanks for reading and see you next time!

Today I'd like to provide detailed information about the VIP program on UB, one of the biggest US friendly poker sites. In my last article I mentioned that you collect Status Points to earn your deposit bonus, but the Points are worth so much more than that thanks to the RAI$E program. As an overview, there are five VIP levels and as you climb the VIP levels, your rewards get better and better. Unlike with the Everest Poker download, you don't need to do anything to join the club because as soon as you make a screen name, you automatically become a member.

Level 1, where you start off, makes you an Ultimate Member. Ultimate Members receive some benefits such as a periodic reload bonus and entries to freerolls. You'll also have the option to refer a friend to the site and earn an additional $75 bonus. These little extras are great as freebies, but similar to the VIP program on the PokerStars download, you should definitely move past Level 1 as quickly as possible. This is because being an Ultimate Member is pretty disappointing when you compare it to higher levels.

If you earn 50 Status Points in one month, you become an Ultimate Player. Level 2 allows you to keep the Ultimate Member benefits such as the refer-a-friend bonus, but you also receive a few extra perks. First off, you are given an UltimatePoints multiplier which multiplies the Status Points you are provided by two so that you can collect points quicker than before. Just like the points you obtain when you download Full Tilt Poker, you are also able to spend these Status Points at the UltimatePoints Store. Even more points can be earned by playing in special UltimatePoints tournaments.

500 Status Points will raise you to Level 3, Ultimate Contender, and you can receive up to $50 cash per month for Points. If you download PokerStars, you will see that they have cash bonuses that are similar to this. Your UltimatePoints multiplier raises to three and now you can buy special items from the store that you didn't have access to at Level 2.

The next level, Ultimate Legend, is earned when you collect 2,500 Status Points in one month. You must see several hands to get this high, but you will agree that the perks are worthy of the best online poker players. You'll receive an UltimatePoints multiplier of four and even an additional 10% discount on all store merchandise. The amount of cash you can receive for Points increases from $50 to $250. Furthermore, Level 4 VIPs also have access to a VIP host, a personal concierge, and exclusive freeroll entries. Sometimes there are special auctions to participate in or you'll get the occasional VIP treat.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that Level 5, where you become an Ultimate Icon, gives the best benefits. Earning 10,000 Status Points on this poker flash site is a difficult task, but UB makes it well worth it. First of all, your UltimatePoints multiplier goes up to five and you can redeem up to $ 1,000 per month for your Points. For account balances over $ 1,000, you receive a 9% interest rate on the money. If that isn't enough, UB will ask you to represent them by playing in tournaments around the world such as the WSOP! You should find it pretty tough to get benefits superior to these in other flash compatible casinos. You must collect an average of 10,000 Status Points over 6 months before Level 5 status is granted, and then you are required to maintain this average to stay at Level 5.

UB made this VIP program to give back to the players that play there regularly and to entice new people to play at UB. You should be aware that reaching the highest levels in their RAI$E program is extremely difficult and time consuming. If you're a low stakes player and you decide to make it your goal to become an Ultimate Icon, you'll probably be required to put in 100% of your playing time at UB so that you can earn the maximum number of points. You might not have time to download Roulette if you want to become an Ultimate Icon. If you can make it all the way, though, it's clear that UB will reward you very handsomely for it.

In my last entry, I provided a description of one of the US friendly poker sites, UB. I mentioned their player base and VIP program, but even more significantly, I discussed the UB referral code. With a referral code you can grind out a very generous deposit bonus. The following entry will tell you how you must clear this bonus because it might not be as easy as when you cleared your Bingo codes.

Let's start with the base info. First things first: use your computer and download free poker from the UB site. Now that you've got the software, you can go to the cashier. When you make your initial real-money deposit, Ultimate Bet gives you additional dollars equal to 111% of the cash you put in, up to $ 1100. These bonus dollars are not yet released. In order to use your additional dollars, you need to acquire Status Points. These points are similar to VPPs from the PokerStars rakeback program. You receive Points by receiving hands in real currency games, whether it be ring games or MTT poker.

Now you will see how the bonus clearing works. It is pretty much the same as when you use a Full Tilt Poker bonus code. For every 20 Status Points that you obtain, $ 1 of your additional cash is yours to keep. Each time you get 100 status points, you get a deposit of $5 into your account. If you make a first deposit of $ 1000 (and thus receive $ 1100 bonus dollars), you need to earn 22,000 status points to let go of the full $ 1100. There is one problem, though: there are only 60 days to earn all of your extra dollars before you forfeit the ones that stay unreleased.

The next question is how do you obtain these Status Points? For tournaments, you receive one status point for any $0.30 of entry fee (so in a $30+3 tournament, you'd earn 10 status points). Like on other money poker sites, the Points you win in ring games depends on the stakes you play. This chart shows how the points are dished out:

No Limit
$0.01/0.02 - 1 point for each 15 hands
$0.02/0.04 - 1 point for every 10 hands
$0.05/0.10 - 1 point per 10 hands
$0.10/0.25 - 1 point for every 5 hands
$0.25/0.50 - 1 point for each 3 hands
$0.50/1.00 - 1 point for each 2 hands
$1.00/2.00 - 1 point apiece per hand
$2.00/4.00 through $5.00/10.00 - 1.5 points per hand
$10.00/20.00 and higher - 2 points apiece per hand

Limit
$0.01/0.02 - 1 point per 20 hands
$0.02/0.04 - 1 point for every 20 hands
$0.05/0.10 - 1 point for every 15 hands
$0.10/0.20 - 1 point for each 15 hands
$0.25/0.50 - 1 point apiece per 10 hands
$0.50/1.00 - 1 point apiece per 5 hands
$1.00/2.00 - 1 point for every 2 hands
$2.00/4.00 - 1 point for each hand
$3.00/6.00 - 1.5 points apiece per hand
$4.00/8.00 and up - 2 points apiece per hand

So, for instance, you'd have to participate in 22,000 hands of $ 1.00/2.00 no-limit poker within 60 days in order to clear the total $ 1100 bonus. If you're playing lower stakes like $0.10/0.25, you'd have to see 110,000 hands. If you look at the deposit bonuses on the best US poker sites, this requirement is not so much of a stretch. One huge benefit of this bonus is that because you get the cash in $5 increments, you can deposit as much as you would like and not really have to worry about being unable to clear the bonus. You might not get the entire thing, but some free cash is better than losing all of it.

I will end with a word of caution: for new players especially, the temptation to try to earn the extra cash faster by playing higher stakes is always present. Don't let this affect your bankroll management! When you're at low stakes, the UB deposit bonus is more tedious than any Roulette bonus, but trying to gamble higher than your bankroll will allow will more often than not hurt you more than it will aid you in the end.

Thank you for coming to my new site and blog! If you like poker, you'll be happy with my blog because that is what I will be writing about. Because I live close to the U.S., I am primarily concerned with US friendly poker sites. Today I am going to tell you about UB and talk about their VIP program and player base.

UB's rewards program clears your UB bonuses while also granting you extra benefits. The 'RAI$E' points system allows you to collect points which give you bonuses for reloads and for the month, similar to other download free poker sites. The most exclusive status level is achieved once you earn 10,000 points per month, and this allows you to receive the best cash bonuses, discounted store merchandise, 9% interest on account balances greater than $ 1,000, and even poker trips to live tournaments! You don't get 9% interest for leaving your money in a Fulltiltpoker download! Climbing the status ladder can yield some fantastic benefits.

You might know that UB hasn't attracted the same traffic as the PokerStars download, but it doesn't mean that the traffic is bad. The CEREUS Poker Network is the third largest in the world, thanks largely to the fact that it's still one of the best US poker sites. Whether you want ring games, heads-up tournaments, or multi-table tournament poker, you'll see a bunch of tables if you play small or medium stakes. One problem with UB is that it doesn't have as much action for the high stakes player.

Altogether, if you're wanting to participate in a lot of poker at small to mid stakes and you don't need free poker no downloads, UB is an excellent choice. Earn your deposit bonus, collect tons of Status Points, and you'll be earning lots of money playing poker on UB in no time!
